This past week it was announced that Story Contracting have achieved the ‘Gold’ award in the prestigious annual scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
The awards scheme, now in its 61st year, is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. Judges consider entrant’s overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
“It is a proud moment for Story to have our excellent health and safety performance recognised by this major award. The award is validation for our continued hard work and commitment to ensuring the health and safety of all Story employees, which is of paramount importance when considering the sheer scale and complexity of the rail and construction projects we undertake as a business.” (Jason Butterworth, CEO, Story Contracting)
“Winning a RoSPA Gold Award at the first time of asking is an excellent achievement, one which should make everyone at Story Contracting really proud. The award is testament to the hard work of the site teams and the commitment of everyone in maintaining excellent safety standards in every area of the business.” (Alan Taylor, Head of HSQE, Story Contracting)
An official awards presentation ceremony will be held on Wednesday July 12 at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham.
