Building your future: As a graduate you will have exposure to all areas of Story Contracting. This means that at the end of the programme you can make informed decisions about future careers, development and training.

Unlocking your potential: Following successful completion of the graduate programme, all Story Contracting graduates will be offered permanent employment.

Induction

All of our graduates experience a comprehensive induction. Whilst this is structured it is delivered in a relaxed and informal way, enabling our new colleagues to forge new relationships and bond as a group.

Professional Accreditation

Our graduates are encouraged and supported to seek professional accreditation. For example, those following a career in civil engineering are mentored to become chartered members of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Projects

Our graduates are given business-related problems to solve. They work as a group on these projects and deliver their findings and recommendations back to senior management. This helps develop project management skills and gives them a real voice within the business.

Fully Rounded Experience

In addition to their role, each graduate is given the opportunity to work in related departments to ensure that they see and experience the inter-dependencies between different areas. This approach enhances the quality of their decision-making in the future.

STEM Ambassadors

All of our graduates are expected to register as STEM Ambassadors and support and participate in STEM-related events in schools and colleges. They encourage and inspire the next generation to progress further in STEM subjects and pursue related careers.

Mentoring

All of our graduates are assigned a named mentor who supports, guides and challenges them at every step of their journey. Graduates and mentors attend our ‘Mentoring Essentials’ training to ensure that they are equipped with the key skills needed.

Development Days

Every quarter, our graduates come together at our Development Days where they are given the opportunity to develop new skills, work collaboratively on projects and continuously review their journey so far.
