We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional HSQE advisor to join Story Scotland covering the Central and North of Scotland based from our Perth office - and there has never been a better time to join!

The Role

As a Regional HSQE advisor at Story Scotland you will provide assurance, guidance and support in the safe operation of sites, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements. The role would involve supporting and collaborating with our Project Teams to deliver projects to the highest standards in line with our Plan Safe Work Safe values. Innovation and drive are a key ingredient in pushing our standards to continuously improve.

Whether you are an experienced HSQE advisor or just starting out on your journey, you could be the right fit to join the HSQE team if you can build collaborative relationships, have an attention to detail and can drive positive change.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Promote and contribute to a positive safety culture within the workplace
  • Provide support and guidance to the project delivery teams
  • Monitor and accurately report on HSQE compliance and management of risk
  • Conduct accident investigations ensuring problems are appropriately addressed and rectified
  • Support HSQE initiatives

The Ideal Candidate:

  • PTS certified
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
  • Experience and expertise gained in working in a similar role
  • Experience in accident investigation
  • Working knowledge of the rail industry and infrastructure
  • Ability to engage with Colleagues to gain buy in to HSQE initiatives
  • Good IT and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Flexibility to meet business needs
