Frameworks Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Framework Manager to join our Team. The role will initially be located in Birmingham City Centre with planned relocation to Tamworth from June/July 2025.
The Role
As a Frameworks Manager at Story Contracting you will lead a talented team of Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Managers and Field Staff to deliver an exciting workbank of multidisciplinary, design and build railway projects. You will be responsible for managing resources (people, finance and physical assets) to fulfil projects safely, on time and to the project specifications – Do it Right!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the client relationship at a senior level
- Lead on Safety and Quality within the framework
- Delivery of commercially successful frameworks overseeing the reporting process
- Maximisation of utilisation and deconfliction of works across the framework
- Lead continuous improvement throughout the life of the framework
- Lead and manage a successful team to deliver a growing business plan
- Develop staff potential and ensure a strong culture exists
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven track record of large scale multi-disciplinary project delivery in rail and civil engineering environments
- Experienced of delivery of a portfolio of multi disciplinary civils led projects
- Track record in successful client management
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in bid management and commercial delivery
- Experience in delivering NEC4 projects including design and build type contracts
- Thorough understanding of standards and regulations across the rail and civils industry
- Track record in seeking out new work opportunities through networking
- Strong organisation, communication and IT skills
- Experience of a leadership role within the rail / civils industry
- Ability to maintain and develop excellent client relationships and be able to demonstrate success with this
