New hospitality lounges and boxes have opened to the public at Carlisle United‘s Brunton Park, after Story Contracting completed fit out works to the East Stand of the stadium.
Over a 20-week period, the project has seen Story’s Construction team carry out refurbishment works to all four levels of the stand, which had remained largely unutilised since its construction in the 1990s.
The top floor of the stand now houses eight high-quality hospitality boxes, which were opened to the public in August, in time for the beginning of the 2024/25 League Two football season.
Following the completion of the boxes, significant works were completed to transform the second and third floor. These works saw the creation of three new hospitality lounges, a new boardroom and bar areas. The completed project more than doubles the hospitality capacity available at Brunton Park. Works were also carried out to create new training classrooms and expanded office space.
Within the ground floor concourse, existing bars and kitchen areas have been modified and new personnel and service lifts installed.
Carlisle United chief executive Nigel Clibbens said: “The whole approach to the work from day one until completion was brilliant. The quality of work and the care the workforce took to meet our requirements could not be faulted.
“Story operated with speed, flexibility and professionalism and delivered a great outcome for us. It’s a credit to all involved and we look forward to working together again in future.”
